Course Overview

A website can be made to look more inviting with interactive graphics and animations. The tools present in Flash CS4 help one to create and manipulate a wide variety of objects ranging from a simple graphic design to a complex animation sequence. This course is meant for students who have no exposure to the features and functions of Flash CS4. The topics covered provide the critical skills you need to create objects and animations in Flash CS4.

Course Prerequisites

To ensure students' success with this course, we recommend that they first take the following courses or have equivalent knowledge: Introduction to Personal Computers Using Windows XP / Vista

Course Overview

You have explored the basic features and functions of Flash CS4. However, a knowledge of the advanced features will help you to create custom animations. In this course, you will create simple and complex interactive movies using ActionScript. You will explore the advanced features of Flash CS4, such as working with ActionScript, creating simple and complex interactive movies using ActionScript; and also create and customize components.

Course Prerequisites

Before taking this course, students should be familiar with the basic features and functions of Flash CS4 and have some knowledge of scripting or programming. Students should also have taken Flash CS4: Level 1.

Lesson 1: Exploring the Basics of ActionScript

  • View a Flash File

Course Overview

You have previously identified the methods for creating and managing simple Flash content for deployment over the web, as well as the usage of ActionScript commands to enhance the content. The development of more dynamic Flash content, however, requires the knowledge of advanced features and design techniques in Flash CS4.

To ensure students' success with this course, we recommend that they first take the following Adobe Flash courses or have equivalent knowledge: Adobe Flash CS4: Level 1, Adobe Flash CS4: Level 2
